Just seen on amazon "some British birds" book selling for over £100.00 how ridiculous! Not because the book isn't good but because people are such greedy B******s.

Not sure what greed has to do with this. It might be that the person has listed it at this price because they don't really want to part with it and have set an exhorbitant price in case someone is desperate to find it. Maybe the seller is skint? Who knows really? I don't find this shocking at all. Someone who has no recourse to bookshops (yes you Brits, it's a big world out there) would need to go online if it's 200 miles to the closest Borders, Barnes & Noble & Waterstones. It may cost them $100 worth of gas just to geth there and back! Also Amazon takes 25% of that sale so already you are talking £75. Everyone likes a bargain for sure but scarcity in a collector's mind will make £100 seem a bargain. It is Edwyn after all :-)
It's not scarce Philip. We have it for £15 in the shop!

Point taken Grace. Some people just buy books at Amazon though. Might just be bird lovers! They wouldn't even know there is an edwyncollins.com or even an edwyn collins for that matter! In this case I'm sure you could post the book there from the shop at a cheaper rate and it would squash the seller's chances of ever reaping profits! I see two there now for a bundle. Why don't you put it up yourself for 25 pounds? Just remember when you list they will take 25% so you have to include your cost to ship it anywhere (including international) and the amount Amazon will take. And if you list as collectible and sign them you could be up for a rush in sales. If you need me to run it for you I'd be happy to. If your sales do skyrocket I want a cut!
...just kidding... :-)
Best of luck.

We have some for sale in the cornershop. our lovely publisher Arun at Morel Books did this for us out of sheer love and barely makes a dime from them. Annoying indeed.
Maybe greedy was too strong a word as it seems to have raised some hackles? However I will be calling at the corner shop £15 is a real bargain!
I visited the shop last week well Megan and I and she bought the Robin Christmas cards which have now arrived and are super, in fact we are saving one so we can sell it on ebay for £15000 (joke) really its so we can frame it and hang it on the wall

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue
