So far I've heard about his appearance at SXSW in Austin, Texas sometime between March 16-20, 2011. Anyone know of any other announced dates? REALLY hoping for Seattle!

Any chance of hearing about more dates in America besides Austin and New York?

Hello Larry and Stephen

Only New York and SXSW dates in March, then Edwyn's off to Japan.  No further USA dates confirmed at the moment but watch this space.

It's funny - I'm so close to Austin, but it would probably be cheaper for me to fly to New York to see him than for me to deal with getting a sxsw badge ($750 at this point).

So, you expect him to be back in America at another point this year?

Looks like the Lawn Party thing is my best bet. 6 pm on the 17th. Can do.
I'm in Austin TX and will be without an SXSW badge.  So I am looking for the none official shows that Edwyn is playing, so far I've found details of the lawn show on Thursday, the Pitchfork drive in party on Friday.  Are there any other shows that Edwyn is playing?  I'm sorry if this is posted elsewhere, I am new to the site.  Thank you.
I don't know anything about the friday deal... Several sites say he is in Austin through Saturday, but the two shows Thursday were all I know about. Sounds like you'd need a badge for the later one, so I'm gonna be at the lawn show.

"#Offline will take at the East Side Drive-In, located at 1001 E. 6th St., on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18, from noon to 7:00 p.m. Thursday's lineup features Smith Westerns, J Mascis, Dum Dum Girls, OFF!, Dom, Mount Kimbie, and more. Friday features Toro Y Moi, Owen Pallett, Edwyn Collins, Cass McCombs, and more. Friday will be webcast live, thanks to the Focus Features film Hanna. Special thanks to Puma, Musicians Institute, Brooklyn Brewery, and Vitamin Water."http://pitchfork.com/news/41659-pitchfork-announces-sxsw-showcases/

*Seems* to be a free show.  I've become a bit of a SXSW detective over the past few years...

The Nuvola showcase Thursday night and the show at the Convention Center Saturday afternoon are both badge only shows.  However, it is sometimes possible to pay a cover ($10-15) to get into the quieter badge only shows.

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
