Went to see Grace and Edwyn at Waterstones Manchester last night. What a double-act. If you can go to one of the other readings, go. It's very entertaining/inspirational/moving/funny... all that human stuff.

Couldn`t agree more. Thank you Grace and Edwyn for a fantastic evening. It was lovely to hear Edwyn sing `Home again` and `Poor Old Soul` and to hear Grace read from the book with lots of wise cracks from both sides! Any emotional types may need to take some hankies.

Also, thanks to the guys in front of me in the book-signing queue who let me barge in front of them so I could get the last train home.

Roll on Edinburgh...can`t wait.
It's a must see, for sure! Grace and Edwyn work so well together and it was a joy to hear Grace read and a delight to hear Edwyn's laugh (so often!) as well as sing. And, yes, I scrabbled for my hankies! Am also going to see Edwyn in Edinburgh next month - will be brilliant!
Oh, I live 20 mins away from Manchester!! I wish I'd worked out that they were at Waterstones, I'd have gone along. I say them at Port Eliot in Cornwall at the weekend and they were brilliant. Grace has got real presence on that stage and reads in a very relaxed way, that really holds the audience attention. I wonder where there is a list of where they will be next? Maybe on this site? Hope so.

just been to aberdeen's waterstones on what was a most moving and well, in a nutshell, highly enjoyable evening of entertainment. edwyn and grace, what presence you have and i look forward to seeing you both at the lemon tree in october.a legendary lyricist and a wonderful writer, william you must be so proud of yer folks.nae so sure mum and dad have a place in the heart for go west or foreigner though! still juke box hero has a good riff! actually urgent is nae bad either.....consolation prizes maybe? hey nae in the same league as yer dad's tunes though really are they? well done to waterstones!
Got a ticket for Glasgow Waterstones tonight, wasn't going to go as
money has become very tight and I'm 90 miles from Glasgow......
but all the comments about the signings are making it very tempting.....
Grace and Edwyn are doing a signing in Edinburgh on 22/08 if you don`t make Glasgow.
....at World Power Books at 1.00pm. (Won`t let me edit my previous comment).
Matt - I urge you to go you won't regret, I went to the one in Manchester, got stuck in bad weather and traffic queues on the M62, paid a fortune at the car park and was late for the reading. They'd already started - didn't want to walk in front of them, so stood near the door, were the only thing I could see was Edwyn's orange trainers. But it was worth all that to listen to them, funny, moving and uplifting and wee chat and a photo at the booksigning - fantastic - a couple of charmers, they make a great double act.

Great to hear Edwyn will be back playing in Manchester in October.
Hello - I've looked around on the site, but I can't find any information about when Edwyn will be playing in Manchester in October. Duncan can you let me know where, if it has been announced? I'd really appreciate that. Cheers. Robin
Hi Robin, Grace mentioned it at the reading, said it was to be at the Deaf Institute, same place he played at for the Heavenly In The City gig last year, said they'd only just finalised it the day before.
Keep a look out at http://www.thedeafinstitute.co.uk/calendar it's not up yet.
I think I was sat on the same row as you Julie - 2nd from the front. I was the speccy girl with a stripey skirt, dark hair. I was scabbling about for my hankie when Edwyn sang `Home Again`. I think you may have been doing the same! It got very dusty in there didn`t it?!

Sounds like you had a great time Duncan. Unfortunately I didn't get there tonight, too many things conspiring
against me making it I'm afraid.....
