First, it's great to see you doing well Edwyn and to see so many great artefacts from the OJ/EC past. It's amazing to me that Orange Juice have continued to have such a strong hold on me almost 30 years after their first appearance in my life. I used to be really proud of the fact that my middle name was the same (phonetically) as Edwyn's first name (which is Edwyn by the way)! I'm really looking forward to hearing the archived stuff coming out on Domino and all the bootlegs.. now really is like Christmas for Orange Juice aficianados (especially the ones who are as green-skinned as avacodoes)!

Cheers Bob. It's an exciting time for me too. Domino are going to do a lovely job. Welcome here!
So will "Two Hearts Together" finally get a CD release??
..and for completeness the Irritation Disc?!
>the archived stuff coming out on Domino and all the bootlegs

is it true?!? it's not Glasgow School, is it?? if not, it's really like Christmas present...!
Would also love to see Phantasmagoria!! heard so much about that infamous gg and cant find it anywhere!!! I have a few songs i recorded of Edwyn playing at Tower Records in Glasgow just after the release of Gorgeous George, hardly anyone there but edwyn was great that day. He sang "I'll never be Marti Pellow" as the refrain for Consolation Prize!!!
Next up from Domino will be a box set of all the Orange Juice albums plus some rarities. After that they plan to do something with Edwyn's solo back catalogue. We love this label for its attention to detail, the care they put into the releases and the way they keep the pressure up to make us get the job done.....
It'd be great to have some live early Orange Juice thrown in...but anyway this is great news... I may well skip a light fandango (if I can find one)!

Taking note of all suggestions. Will trawl the various junk mountains that constitute our archives for bits that will interest everyone. The irritation disc, where the hell is that.......

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
