Hi everyone,
I'm currently doing some research on Postcard Records and have been trying to join the Rip It Up Yahoo group to gather information. Apparently a moderator has to approve you first before you are able to join. I've had no reply and have been trying to join for ages!

Could someone send me an invite to join? or is the moderator kicking about on these forums?

Thanks

Have you tried joing the Josef K yahoo group: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/josefk

Don't know whether this helps but the list owners email of ripitup yahoo group is is: rip_it_up-owner@yahoogroups.com

I joined ages ago - but can't rememebr what the procedure was - sorry.

This might be of interest to you too: http://www.edinburghgigarchive.com/page19.htm
Hiya, we don't know who the moderator is on that forum unfortunately. It's a fan. Let's hope they get back to you soon.
I do belong to the rip it up group. I think that Lawrence M. is the moderator. Unfortunately I do not have his current e-mail address. I'll check it out!
I tried joining it a couple of years ago but I was rejected! Not for any reason, I hasten to add. It was just if the request isn't approved within a certain time frame you get automatically rejected. I'm guessing that it's not a very active group. Surely this is the best place to get information anyway (and I'm not working on commission!).
Hi. Yup, sorry, that's my group, although for some reason Yahoo appears to have deleted the Yahoo account that spawned the group, which means I can't log in to moderate it, or approve new members. (Yeah, I know ... crazy, right?) Secondly, my new career as a school teacher has left me with a lot less time to trawl the internet and take care of the Yahoo group I started back in 2001. I'll try to get to the bottom of this. Thanks for reminding me. (And hello Edwyn ...)
OK, me again ... I appear to have fixed this problem and have approved a bunch of pending memberships.

Sorry folks.
Good news then, Lawrence! Take care - and good luck in your new career!
Thanks. When I worked in IT I could waste hours on the 'net each day. Being a high school teacher sucks away a lot more of your time. For less money ... (sigh)

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
