That's mine just arrived here in Fife this morning, had ordered the vinyl album, 7" single and CD so that is possible why took so long from what I have read.

As great as they all are, I don't think I will pre-ordering to be waiting 11 days after release date in future and will be to my local record shop on the day of any new releases.

Had hoped to have at least the CD before the trip down to the QEH gig last week but not to be.

Very happy to finally have them and they will now be playing on my turntable & CD deck for weeks.

My “free poster” arrived today by separate cover.

Just wanted to check with others who ordered the Rough Trade special edition – it’s actually a black and white photocopy on A5 (ie half the size of A4) of one of Edwyn’s bird drawings (Grey Kestrel) on what looks a Heavenly Records complement slip

Not what I had in mind as a poster – and looks like it cost a few pence to produce.

What I really wanted to check is whether everyone else’s copy has half the tail missing (it goes off the edge of the page) or is that just the way Edwyn drew it?

If it turns out mine is not just a photocopy but a bad photocopy at that, I’ll be a bit upset!
Mine's the same.
Yes, my copy has too missing half the tail... Indeed it's a color copy (even it looks just like black and white). Maybe I should copy it on A4 and draw the rest of the tail myself... I'm sure Heavenly will do it the next time much better. For the vinyl buyer, they even didn't include a download code... Modern technology seems - I don't know.
Received my Kestrel print today, wasn't expecting it at all (Kestrels were my drawing bird of choice when I was young.)
Thank you Edwyn for the freebie, and a great picture too...
To all the moaners, are you really that upset?
Hi only just read this post !! Yep I recieved mine about 2 weeks ago and the print followed the following week !! Fantastic it is too !!! ;-)
re the missing Kestrel tail...the Kestrel drawing is also in Edwyn's book "Some British Birds" & the drawing does "fall off" the page so that the tail isn't complete there. If you remember, Edwyn has been relearning to write & draw with his left hand, and as part of this process I imagine it's pretty tricky to negotiate how to centre a drawing in the centre of a sheet of paper...so don't feel so much that you've lost a tail, think how you've gained a bird of prey!

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
