Hi all,

Picked up on this from the Twitter feed -:

Can anyone shed any light on the second CD? "Bird songs"? The whole package sounds like a great one anyway so I'm going to pre-order but just intrigued by this bonus disc.

Cheers,

Matt

I wondered about the bonus disc too. Is it songs recorded by Edwyn, or just random bird related songs?
At the risk of answering my question, I found this on the Heavenly page for those that are interested..

'The album is now available to pre order from Rough Trade & comes with an exclusive Cd compiled by Edwyn which following on from his self penned album artwork is bird themed!'

So not an Edwyn cd unfortunately, but still a nice package with the signed print.
Thanks for that, Matt. Definitely worth getting from Rough Trade. I am intrigued about the bird themed songs. "Blackbird"?, "I'm Like A Bird"? "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep"??

Matt
Perhaps birds is used in the vernacular sense of the word and it could be songs such as Louise, Louise, Felicity, etc........n'ah
Nah, I think it is a one of those fine Birdsongs compilations from the Caught by the River site/community. http://t.ymlp66.com/ubsuapamjbaoabbqyalaemqb/click.php

I read that Edwyn was up for a forthcoming one. Ally from Dusty7s made a fabulous comp. this summer. I hope for another one!
None of these!
It's a playlist of songs featuring bird names that Edwyn did for the Caught By The River website, which jeff barrett of Heavenly Records, curates.
There you go, only available from the Rough Trade shop.
Are any of these included:

Bird Table Song?
50 Shades Of Blue (Tit)?
Starling They Want It All?
Nesting Time?
Thrushing It To The Back Of My Mind?
The Campaign For Real Rook?
The Magic (Sand) Piper?

Sorry - I have too much time on my hands.
Crow Expectations?
The Magic magpie-per?

I'll get my coat...
Crow Expectations????

Come on Matt - that makes my attempts look like they were a collaberative effort by Oscar Wilde and Stephen Fry.

I trust you collected your coat.
Now You've Grown a Beard(ed Tit)... A Place In My Partridge... In A Nuthatch... Seventies Nightingale... You Can't Hide Your Dove Forever... The Feather's on Fire... A Gull Like You...
Does anyone know if there'll be a vinyl release of the album?

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
