Aw thank you Angie and for persevering with the techno stuff. I've got a very stroppy twenty year old, emotional age, twelve. But life is definitely sweet, you know! x

Hi Neil No advice, just encouragement. Keep on doing what you're doing, it's obviously working. The brain remains such a mysterious business. And it's healing process is long and unfathomable. We are five years down the line and improvement continue…

Apple Cart Festival cancelled

No sooner do I put the word up on the site than the organisers go and cancel the whole thing.

Not to worry, there are lots more things afoot, much more touring to support the album. We're in the throes of organisation and announcements are imminent.

Sorry folks

Caught By The River

Jeff and Robin from Heavenly are behind this beautiful thing full of writing on rivers, fishing, birds, music, anything. A real labour of love. Edwyn is working on their next themed playlist, but here is birdsong 5.

Watch this....

This incredible woman describes so eloquently her experience of a brain haemorrhage. Edwyn has often amazed me with his halting but very moving descriptions of how he felt in the aftermath of his stroke. It intrigues me. Dr Bolte Taylor takes you with her.

Review from The Highland News, ah, bless 'em...

Audience loved Edwyn Collins
Published: 22 October, 2009
GLASGOW band The 1990s set the tone with enough chutzpah from Jackie McKeown to own up halfway through You're Supposed To Be My Friend: "I'm just going to tune. It'll be better for you, it'll be better for me!".

And stopping the song dead to do it, the band balanced it against a restart that tripped you straight back into the pleasure.
With echoes of Devo – and even glam rock soaking up through The Box, it should have been no surprise t… Continue

...I am back for one last time; I promise to get lost after this.

Well I never; my post got picked up all over the place, The Beeb (and thanks to Stuart and Mark on BBC Radio 2 for the support and wisdom) , The Guardian, lots of others. Several US sites where many people offered to support me if I SUED, which is, I suppose, the American way. But I've been down that road before and it's a long and hard one, especially in the US and France. You may have right on your s… Continue

Hello Grace

We are a Music collective in Carlisle, Cumbria. We were wondering if there was a chance of booking Edwyn to perform in Carlisle as he has some dates confirmed later this year.

Personally I have been a follower of Edwyns work ever since Orange Juice and Josef K came to Carlisle 30 year ago.

We have 142 seated theatre at our disposal and depending on dates hopefully this could come to fruition.

You can contact me by email: mikeconvery8@aol.com

look forward to hearing from you with any further details.

Cheers

Mike.

Hello Grace, I know I'm probably pushing my luck but you don't get anywhere if you don't ask! Do you know if any more tickets are going to be made available for the 100 club? I'm looking for 5. Just say what we need to do. A few errands, slave for a week, whatever, just ask! I go back to I think 82 seeing OJ. Edwyn owes me anyway as he made me cry like a baby at Glastonbury 2 years ago. Best gig ever! Best Regards, Keith

hi grace
how are you? been so many years. i was hoping by signing up i'd get through to you as i hope you can help me. i'm tryng to get in touch with alan horne - i thought domino might have a contact for him, but apparently not. jodie thought it would be worth giving you a try and is ee there are plenty of mentions of alan on the site. basically, we ran a cover story recently on great lost albums and it got the readesr very excited and we are running their lists of favourite albums you can't get in our enxt issue. i'm looking into the idea of putting together a covermount cd compiled from a combination of 15 tracks from the editorial/readers lists and i'd like to feature something from paul quinn's phantoms and archetypes and wanted to speak to alan about who currently held the rights for the album. if you've got any contact details for alan you could give me it would be much appreciated. meanwhile i hope all is well with you. much love to you and edwyn both.

Hi Grace thanks so much for you reply. Yes I can be a grumpy git at times....things can be hard to accept I guess and seeing people walk around each day and take it for granted how easy it is when I'm with someone who finds it hard to get about can cause me the odd feeling of ' it just aint fair' but someone is always worse off and reading your book I found amazing the way you just kept looking forward more and more. How is Edwyn doing since the book?

Best Johnx

Hi Grace,

Thank you so much for your message. It was lovely to hear from you and that you approve of the poster.

Johns project is indeed brilliant and I was very chuffed that he asked me to be a small part it. John sent me Falling and Laughing as a thankyou for doing the poster, It was amazing, life affirming, beautiful and incredibly emotional. You guys rock!
