This incredible woman describes so eloquently her experience of a brain haemorrhage. Edwyn has often amazed me with his halting but very moving descriptions of how he felt in the aftermath of his stroke. It intrigues me. Dr Bolte Taylor takes you with her.

GLASGOW band The 1990s set the tone with enough chutzpah from Jackie McKeown to own up halfway through You're Supposed To Be My Friend: "I'm just going to tune. It'll be better for you, it'll be better for me!".

Andrew Loog Oldham said that getting ripped off (by the industry) was your entrance fee to the music business of the sixties, so get over it. He’s right and things have not changed. We are very over it, but nonetheless aware of who the biggest bootleggers around are. It’s not the filesharers. Personally, we’ve always loved bootlegs. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

We run a Disability focused festival company called Disability Rocks. We hosted 3 fests this year across the uk and have 6 scheduled in 2015. i did post ((on my edwyn collins page...laila miroku)) the eyes of the story as i saw through my camera... watching while the music inspired and exhilarated me..
now that my ear has been fertilised by the live sounds i look forward to more more in the future!

Hello Grace,
Thanks a lot for your kind words on my recent uploads of scanned press articles. There is more to come, just a case of finding the time. But given all the enjoyment that Edwyn's music has given me over the years it feels good being able to give back something in return. And a big thanks for your inspiring book. And that enjoyment continues with 'Losing Sleep', even if I have to continually get back my CD from my 14 year old son !
And if you ever fancy a break in deepest rural SW France there is always a place to stay at ours for you and the family...
