Hi Edwyn,
I wondered who best to speak to to have you come play our festival. we would be honoured to have you, and would really love to have you play. Do you have a booking agent?
We are the Chorlton Arts Festival in Manchester and looking for a headline act, and we want it to be you.
Saw you a couple of years back at the Deaf Institute in Manchester you were awesome.
Many thanks,

Hi Edwyn and Grace,
Just want to say, “Thank you so much” for your book reading show at Latitude last year. I wanted to speak up at the session to praise your performances, but I didn’t try to, because I too suffer aphasia. Your story is so similar to

Just wanted to say how much everyone enjoyed the gig in the Black Box in Belfast, grown men were shedding tears! It was a very special night and will be one we will all remember. And it was great to listen to Edwyn and Grace at the book reading beforehand also, very funny and moving in equal measure. We hope you will come back to Belfast again soon!

Big fan of OJ in the 80's, Rip It Up is the song that retains wonderful memories from those times. My partner, Dave and I were 'an item' back in the day at the tender age of 15 but went our separate ways after school ended. However, 25 years later we are back together through the wonder of the internet(!) and still have fond memories of 'our song'. The children bought me 'Falling and Laughing' for Christmas and I have devoured every word. Massive respect to the wonderful Grace and of course to y…

.... I bought the "Poor Boy" single that just came out then. It must have been the only one in Switzerland. I liked it a lot so from then on I bought all the Orange Juice singles and LPs (the happy dolphin is still my favourite cover - I put it in a frame).
Then - I think it was in 1987 - you, Edwyn, finally made it to Switzerland for a concert in Schaffhausen. You probably won't remember it as the venue was small (the Domino) and there were not more than 30 people there. But I loved it. And in…

Dear Edwyn,
I've been a fan of your music since hearing 'falling and laughing' - nearly thirty years ago! Well, if I say that listening to the little snatch of 'What is my role?' was as thrilling as hearing a new Orange juice song on the John Peel show way back then, then I hope you'll appreciate how great your song-writing still is! BTW I think that you like Syntax...so here is the king of it!

Dear Edwyn
How do I find the your booking agent? I want to try and secure your musical services for Liverpool Sound City in 2010 and the internet is throwing up zero clues.
Here's hoping I hear from you buddy
Big love

I know it has been said by m*** of you already, but the gig at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on Saturday was very special. A night that my partner Josephine and I will never forget.
A Great venue & two great support bands in The Low Miffs with the wonderful Malcolm Ross and the delighful sounds of Colorama got the night of to a great start. I have seen Edwyn peform a couple times now since his comeback & for me this was his finest hour, truly in fine voice . A great set featuring m*** Edwyns C…

After most gigs I guess we all come out saying it's the best one we've ever been to. This time it really was right up there with the very best of them. The whole atmosphere, quality on stage and fantastic venue made this a night never to be forgotten. Topped off with the pleasure of a chat with Will after confusing the poor lad over the t-shirt I was buying (a bargain at a tenner!), and Grace ever present........I've not experienced anything quite like it before. Thanks to all for a brilliant, m…

The night started in good fashion with Malcolm Ross's band and then got better with Colorama. What a great band and the lead singer then turns to playing bass for Edwyn.
Edwyn and the band were excellent last night, even better than Leeds last year. The trip was made worthwhile even just for hearing Home Again. Even showing great humour when forgetting the band names for a while. Top man.
Fantastic evening Edwyn, thank you.

I had an amazing time last night! It was a nightmare travelling down from Norwich, rail replacement services were the order of the day. However, it was all worth it when I got down to Holborn! I met some interesting people, all excited about seeing Edwyn live, many had seen Orange Juice back in the early 1980s or had seen Edwyn live before on many occasions. For me though, this was the first time I had ever had the chance to see the man perform.
The support bands both put on really good show. I…

I finally saw Edwyn for the first time last night after loving his music for nearly 30 years. It was sensational and emotional. I loved every minute and did not want it to end. Thanks to all who were there for helping to make it so, but most of all thank you Edwyn.

Just back from the Bloomsbury gig and what a great gig it was! Edwyn was on sparkling form and Colorama were brilliant in support! My view was obscured slightly by two rather tall young ladies, but i can't complain too much... as obscured views go, this one wasn't half bad! ;O) And what a lovely venue to boot! All in all, a great night!

This incredible woman describes so eloquently her experience of a brain haemorrhage. Edwyn has often amazed me with his halting but very moving descriptions of how he felt in the aftermath of his stroke. It intrigues me. Dr Bolte Taylor takes you with her.

Dear Edwyn,Grace and Will,
Thanks so much for coming to the Isle of Skye.
Glad it turned out a calm and beautiful day for you.We thought the gig was outstanding; and we are still
tapping our feet to Losing Sleep!
We bought your book off Will and just could'nt put it down.A really inspiring read and very well written.
My neighbour said she saw a Golden Oriole in her garden this year, we missed it. But then ,we
did get to your gig.
Your songs are just to catchy!
Love and best wishes, Sam and Lynn…

Audience loved Edwyn Collins

GLASGOW band The 1990s set the tone with enough chutzpah from Jackie McKeown to own up halfway through You're Supposed To Be My Friend: "I'm just going to tune. It'll be better for you, it'll be better for me!".
And stopping the song dead to do it, the band balanced it against a restart that tripped you straight back into the pleasure.
With echoes of Devo – and even glam rock soaking up through The Box, it should have been no surprise t…
