I had an amazing time last night! It was a nightmare travelling down from Norwich, rail replacement services were the order of the day. However, it was all worth it when I got down to Holborn! I met some interesting people, all excited about seeing Edwyn live, many had seen Orange Juice back in the early 1980s or had seen Edwyn live before on many occasions. For me though, this was the first time I had ever had the chance to see the man perform.
The support bands both put on really good show. I really enjoyed Malcolm Ross and the Low Miffs, they're sure to go on to bigger and better things. I got to meet Malcolm Ross during the evening, he was very kind and we had a brief conversation, I hope he and The Low Miffs will come up and do a gig in Norwich sometime! Colorama were also very enjoyable.
Edwyn and his band were fantastic, they played a great set. Highlights of the set for me included the brilliant rendtitions Don't Shilly Shally, Falling and Laughing and Low Expectations... although the whole evening was top notch! I really liked both the new songs that were played! and i apologise to anyone standing near me who may have got annoyed with me singing along to every song!
