Can't remember the name of the show, but nice set. Edwyn hired the posh G brand guitar from Phil Harris, famous guitar dealer and ex of the Edgar Broughton Band.

I have a feeling this was originally broadcast in 1984 on STV news maybe the evening show.  They occasionally had bands on mostly from Scotland around this period. It may then have been broadcast on other channels.

I have always really liked this cover version. I have the 12" single at home, and only recently copied it over for my iPod. Paul Quinn's voice was great and I love the sound of Edwyn's guitar. I was at Uni with Paul, and it was ages before I knew he could sing, because he spoke so quietly! I also love teh singing he did on the "Rip it Up" Album, including "Mud in Your Eye". Great stuff.

Wonderful stuff! Takes me back to those great gigs Paul did with the Independent Group back at the Glasgow Athenaeum. What a voice the man has. (And no mean guitar work there either, big yin)
