just answering my own question...I think it's out on Saturday 16th April for Record Store Day?

From the Recordstore Day website

http://www.recordstoreday.co.uk/exclusive-product.aspx

Edwyn Collins & The Drums
In Your Eyes/ To Die For
7" TRACKLISTING:
In Your Eyes
To Die For
+ 4 track Love EP MP3 Download
LIMITED TO 500 COPIES. Co-written with The Drums, who also play on the track, the single available on 7"and download also features the B-side To Die For. The single is taken from Edwyn's recent much-acclaimed album Losing Sleep, which also includes tracks co-written with Johnny Marr, Roddy Frame, Romeo Stodart of The Magic Numbers, Ryan Jarman of The Cribs and Franz Ferdinand and is the first long-player Edwyn's written and recorded since his serious illness in 2005.
Label: Heavenly

With the DL tracks now freely available it leaves one track to chase: the b-side To Die For.

Will it be on itunes to buy or on spotify to listen to? Or is it the song to chase forever and ever and To Die For ...

(or head straight to the ebay auctions)

Gotta chase that one!

please chase one copy for me!!!

a friend of mine in london will buy one for me... thanks!!

i m sorry but my friend in lodon couldn't get it because it was sold out inspite of queing for an hour!

but i dont mind because i can download 4 songs live ep from this site. thank you xoxo

Hi everybody,

any chance that someone got a spare copy for me? Living in Taiwan makes it a bit difficult to get hands on this, unfortunately no Record Store Day here....

Thanks

Mike

There's loads of copies on ebay today (well around ten maybe).

Are these guys are worse than bankers.

I suppose selling Edwyn 7"ers is a little less harmful than 'managing' Hedge Funds and Credit Default Swaps.

So no, these guys are not worse than bankers, in fact they're nowhere near as bad.

I'm off to buy a copy now.

Who managed to get a copy?

I was up in Aberdeen at the weekend and One up records were issued only 4 which were well gone by the time I was able to get there....mighty dissapointed.

It seems that Record Store Day is a good idea and encourages bands to release all sorts of interesting and imaginative records, but the downside is the *serious* amount of profiteering that goes on in the weeks afterwards.

I couldn’t get to a participating shop (there are none left near me sadly) and I know plenty of people who queued and didn’t get what they wanted anywa.

To see it all on ebay for twice/three times the price by the next day breaks my heart

Today there are copies of the In Your Eyes 7" for sale in the Heavenly webshop. At a reasonable price (3.49).

I was just going for an ebay copy when I found this out. Now the order is already shipped!

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
