Anyone know what song this will be from Domino?

"In addition, when you pre-order Coals To Newcastle you'll receive an MP3 of a previously unreleased Orange Juice recording. This track isn't on the boxset and won't be released in the future."

It's an unmixed instrumental version of "In A Nutshell". You don't need it, but it's nice to have...
Received my copy of 'Coals...' yesterday. It looks and, of course, sounds fantastic. A whole lot of effort has gone into this! My thanks to all involved for sharing this with us.
I agree
Got mine the other day and really enjoying the great sleevenotes and attention to detail
Great job guys!
Coals...was available from woolworths.co.uk earlier today at £7.97 with free delivery. Now back up to £51.97. Could be interesting...!
Got this on the Christmas list!
the boxset is fantastic!! Thanks to all involved.Looking forward to seeing Edwyn in Paris next Wednesday.
Yay, my wife bought me it for xmas. Happy days!
I'd not seen this before so must have missed it somehow. How annoying! I haven't got the box set yet as I'm in the pre-pay day skint zone. I also thought it would make a nice Christmas present so might wait!

When the box set was originally announced there was talk of several "cutting room floor" tracks that would be made available in the run up to release date but I haven't seen any more about these. Does anyone know any more about them?

Only a few hours to go to The Glee Club!!
Until today it's just "In A Nutshell". But anyway, the book looks terrific and you'll have a lot of music to listen to as well as the DVD. In my box there was a lack of the BBC Sessions. But Domino told me they would send me the CD separately. Most surprisingly was an "All That Ever Mattered" version from the Rip It Up Sessions. My favourite is still "The Orange Juice" - every song a gem...
Has anyone who signed up at Domino had any emails regarding 'the inside story of the boxset as told by its producers and Edwyn Collins + a/v gems from the cutting room floor & special offers'. I've registered a couple of times but haven't received any notifications.
Nope, still waiting!
All I've had is the 'In A Nutshell' instrumental and some streaming tracks
Just listening to Coals...tonight. The Ostrich Churchyard tracks are probably my favourite music ever. Utterly marvellous in a totally lop-sided way! "You smash your heart against the rocks". Yeah.

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
