Hi, fairly new to the wonderful world of Orange Juice and am struggling to get my hands on a copy of 'You can't hide your love forever' on CD. I understand it's out of print, how so? When any old tut is reissued left right and centre why can't this be? I am about to be made redundant so am not really able to splash out the thick end of forty quid for a Japanese Import!

Does anyone know if a re-release is due any time soon?

Correct folks...it's quite well advanced in preparation now. Coming in 2010. Good old Domino will make a lovely job of it, with rare bits and film stuff etc.

Many thanks everyone! That'll be my birthday present sorted!
great news had no idea this was in the pipeline how about sticking two hearts together on it i know edwyn doesnt care for it much but i love it havent heard it for years due to the loss of vinyl collection cheers
"Rare bits and film stuff etc". I am so excited about those words! I managed to pick up the Japanese YCHYLF for about £15 a couple of years ago and have been digitizing my OJ & Edwyn vinyl recently. None of this will stop me buying these reissues, though. Can't wait for these now!
Hi Matt,
Just wondering, did you digitize all of the Polydor vinyl? I hope all of that will be on the box set.
Grace?

Thank you,
Paul
Hi Paul,

Finally finished doing the OJ stuff now - Christmas and New Year got in the way! I managed to get hold of the Japanese CD of You Can't Hide Your Love Forever for about £12 new and I found CD rips of Rip It Up and Texas Fever online. This just left The Orange Juice and In A Nutshell plus the twelve inches and seven inches. I did the Postcard stuff I've got just to be a completist but I've got CD versions on The Heather's On Fire. I'm starting on the Edwyn solo stuff today but there are only the early sevens and twelves to do so it won't take as long! I'll be more than happy to have the reissues make all of my work on this pointless!

My 15 month old daughter is getting a very good musical education at the moment!

Matt
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the reply.
I would be interested in the final product or hope all of it will be Officially released. Because I haven't heard of all the OJ 7" & 12" tracks.

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
