Now Friday and still nothing in Edinburgh, first and last time I'll preorder. Even more frustrating to say the least, seeing the cd in stores.
Boo freckin hoo! You're getting a lovingly prepared special edition which is worth waiting for. I don't care that the album is 'in stores'.  You could have probly downloaded it agree ago if you  were so inclined but a lot of love has gone into making this more special for us folks s
Let's just savour the anticipation.
Hope this helps. Jx
Well I'm playing it on Spotify and it sounds ace. What Is My Role is a classic. But I really need the proper thing, the postman keeps looking at me in a slightly scared fashion...
Also in Edinburgh. Also still waiting. Those who bought it in the shops have had it for a week, so this is a shame indeed. I just hope it turns up in the next few days.
Mine was waiting for me when I got home after being away for a few days ... and I'm in Ireland.

You know - what's a day or two to wait - you can hear the album via the link to the nme page on this site in any case.

And it you think it's slow now, can you even imagine what the set-up was like in the good old days!
Just got mine!! Well worth the 'delay'!!!
Arrived here as well! Am off work today so this afternoon will be devoted to listening to it.
Just rang up RT to chase CD, it got despatched yesterday. I did order the 7" single aswell - but I thought they got released on the same day.
Is it time to ring Norris McWhirter for the longest delivery time - or is he dead?
Mine arrived on Saturday morning.
It's a cracking good package except Sparrow is spelt Sparrpw on the free bird-related CD.
Maybe a collector's item?
Apparently Rough Trade are shipping the poster separately.
Well done Edwyn and all associated with Losing Sleep. The songs, playing and packaging are all top notch.
Makes me feel sorry I retired.

Sparrow is mis-spelt on mine too. Maybe the collector's items are the ones that spell it correctly!
Do I win the wooden spoon, CD arrived today. WooHoo!
Hurrah,
it came today: beautiful thick, heavy double vinyl in a lovely gatefold sleeve, signed inside by Edwyn. Plus the bird CD (sounds like that'll be a laugh) and inside the record sleeve a wee print (about A5 size) of Edwyn's drawing of the Grey Kestrel from the album cover; i assume thats the free "poster".
Anyway the album's great, and even better on vinyl.
standouts are In Your Eyes and Searching for The truth (which made me cry when he sang it at the Qeen Liz Hall last week.

9 days late but worth waiting for..................

Art Work and Bum Fuzz

Posted by scott owen on May 5, 2017 at 17:15 0 Comments

My Bum Fuzz unit just arrived in California along with some plectrums with Edwin art. It took me along time to order this unit, but the twenty five year gestation period for it to be built surely eclipses my lack of urgency. Best regards all...

Thank you for the music

A while back I asked Edwyn if he would let me use his music on a little film I made.  Here is the result: Mill Mechanics

Thanks for that.

Shareefa Energy – ‘Reasoning With Self’ - Review

A few months ago the BBC offered a profile of new emerging female poets, ‘Women Who Spit’. Watching the short films by Jemima Foxtrot, Cecilia Knapp and Deanna Rodger, I noted with great relief that the art of poetry is alive and well. I have always been fascinated by the medium. The ability to express intricate thoughts and feelings in a few lines of words. It is the most empowering process. And empowerment through self-expression… Continue

Dear Edwyn,

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.

I was hooked instantly and bought all the singles and albums, the ten inches, 12 inches and even ripped the flexi discs off Smash Hits and Melody…
