A small favour

Dear Edwyn, I have read a lot about your remarkable recovery and watched the documentary a few weeks ago....it was incredible to see you singing again. My neice, Ruby who is now 6, had heart attack last year and due to the oxygen supply to her brain being cut off for a prolonged period she now has quite severe brain injuries. Just finished the book.

You cannot complete this read without imagining the pain endured and the constant worry of "plateauing". But it's only imagining. It takes a lot to move a 46 yr old fella to near tears at the descriptive Grace uses. I often read this through glazy eyes. I think it's probably the realisation of mortality that we all begin to feel around this age.
