What a great gig!

For all of you who think about going to one of his shows: DO IT!

What a great evening with an extraordinary band and a wonderful singer. Thank you for showing the young ones how to rock'n'roll!

Schorndorf !

After waiting 30 odd years to see Edwyn live I eventually managed it last night in Germany, after driving up from Zurich what can I say apart from Genius......

the band was tight and Edwyns voice was just about perfect, I felt 17 again. Thanks also to Will for the excellent service in the shop even if I was a well lubricated difficult customer, the guest vocal spot was pretty good too..

So anyone who has the chance to catch up with the upcoming shows in…

Hello Grace

I've just finished your book "Falling and Laughing"-i had the same as Edwyn about a year and a half-i hate Aphasia-When Edwyn recovers, write another book.I'd love to buy it--i know it's gonna take along long time to recover--everyday i read (thank god i can do that) and last week end was my first day at work in a charity shop-i sometimes think why???And then i think there was a guardian angel looking at me ( i guess like Edwyn)

My Short term memory is still…

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO TONY DAY

Yeah: Just found the song called: "THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO TONY DAY" on youtube.....

Film - 7lives - music

Ahoy! Ahoy!

I've been a fan and avid follower of Edwyn's music and band(s) for a wee while now and often wondered why i've never heard any of his wonderful music in a movie - am i right? has it never been used in a feature film?

And of course.....it maybe my imagination and of course I'm prone to exaggeration  but i think i've just made a great little feature film called '7 lives' and i would dearly love to explore the possibility of including some of his celestial toones in…

Question on birds for Dutch art magazine

Dear Edwyn Collins,

I'm a journalist working for a Dutch art magazine called Mister Motley, and i'm making an article about you and your bird drawings for our issue

that is entirely about birds. I was quite impressed by your story after

seeing your BBC documentary, and it's great to see that you performed

in Holland last november! Could I ask you some questions about drawing

and birds, by…

A small favour

Dear Edwyn, I have read a lot about your remarkable recovery and watched the documentary a few weeks ago....it was incredible to see you singing again. My neice, Ruby who is now 6, had heart attack last year and due to the oxygen supply to her brain being cut off for a prolonged period she now has quite severe brain injuries. She is currently at Tadworth rehabilitation centre going through intensive rehab. Her parents are both musical and they are pinning their hopes on music helping her to…

Just finished the book.

You cannot complete this read without imagining the pain endured and the constant worry of "plateauing". But it's only imagining. It takes a lot to move a 46 yr old fella to near tears at the descriptive Grace uses. I often read this through glazy eyes. I think it's probably the realisation of mortality that we all begin to feel around this age.

I have seen Edwyn and the band three times in the last 3 years and each time the performance of the songs is more assured and dynamic.… Continue

A letter to Edwyn and Grace

Dear Grace, dear Edwyn,

we met in Paris a few days ago when you gave us this wonderful gig.

I am Jerome.

I found you a table to sit with your good friends at a café pub nearby after the show.

My loved Delphine and I shared a few precious minutes with you as you told us the story of the drawing book.

Edwyn insisted on the "crude crude crude" motto for his early pieces.

I can't draw a straight line :-),

I have no shame to say I enjoy the crude… Continue

It made me really happy, thanks Grace and Edwyn you have made Magnus a very happy boy.

Cheers and have a relaxing time in H'dale
