A small favour

Dear Edwyn, I have read a lot about your remarkable recovery and watched the documentary a few weeks ago....it was incredible to see you singing again. My neice, Ruby who is now 6, had heart attack last year and due to the oxygen supply to her brain being cut off for a prolonged period she now has quite severe brain injuries. She is currently at Tadworth rehabilitation centre going through intensive rehab. Her parents are both musical and they are pinning their hopes on music helping her to recover speech. It would mean a lot to them if you could send them a comment wishing them well on their long journey. They have set up a website..one4ruby.com . I know they would be very excited to hear from you as you own recovery gives them reason to be optimistic . The parents names are Simon and Cath....

To all the sick people ...

When you´re down and out, it seems there is no light at all. Edwyn may inspire you, having mastered a hard hard way, back to life- "home again". Be thankful for every little step you can do, be careful with yourselves and never leave an occasion to smile at someone you love or who loves you.

 

To Ruby and her parents: "hope and despair" are desperate sisters, I only can imagine what you feel. fighting against cancer for the last three years is a hard hard job, the same as yours. Get well, Ruby, be strong and proud if you make it. Each day is a gift.

Can I just thank you for your contribution to my life. From that very first shiver I got listening to Felicity on the John Peel Show to the smile I still express today when you burst into laughter half way through Consolation Prize, it's important I let you know how much your music means to me before one of us croaks it.
